We're lucky to live in this gorgeous area north of Sydney, where the numerous ocean beaches define its character. The area is called Sydney's 'Northern Beaches' - goes without saying, I guess.
We live at Bilgola Plateau, very close to Avalon, Bilgola, and Newport beaches, but all the other ones featured here are also within an easy reach. The Northern Beaches start with the famous Manly Beach in the South, reaching up to Palm Beach in the north. This time I'm focusing only on the northernmost ones from Palm Beach down southwards to Narrabeen North Beach.
All the beaches are represented by ten of my photographs.
So, here's the first one: The playground of the rich and famous (Nicole Kidman, Elle McPherson, Lachlan Murdoch, James Packer, John Cleese, etc.), Palm Beach, on a rainy day.
(Note that the 'Summer Bay SLSC' (Surf Life Saving Club) refers to the fictional suburb of Summer Bay, the setting of the popular soap (especially in the UK) 'Home and Away', which is filmed here.)
