Podcast Update

.

Some time ago I wrote a post about refreshing my subscriptions to US based podcasts (prompted by getting bored enough with the Slate Magazine's Culture Gabfest, and especially their Book Club (I had given up on their political gabfest much earlier)).

I did discover many worthy podcasters, but for various reasons, such as some of them being too US focussed, or simply just too much in terms of occupying my time (Brian Lehrer Show was excellent, but talk about podcast overload...), they didn't end up on my subscription list. There was only one on the list that I couldn't stand: the LiberalOasis Radio Show - what utter juvenile crap!

Below is a list of all of the podcasts I now subscribe. The ones I most eagerly look forward to getting updates from are

This American Life
The Moth
FORA.tv
NPR: Planet Money

I included the podcast descriptions given by the provides: It's the least I can do to promote them and their free service to everybody on this planet with internet access. They do enhance my life enormously.
