My Final Entries for the 1440 Challenge

.

Here are my photos I selected for the 1440 Challenge.  My brief to myself was to
avoid cliches, and hopefully get to the essence of the briefs as specified.

I haven't yet quoted the brief for the 'City Living' - here goes:

We live in a vibrant, buzzing city with an eclectic mix of people, culture and excitement. Sydney is
an energetic meeting space - a place we live our lives as well as a traveller’s gateway to
Australia.

Often we compete with man-made structures for Sydney’s bright light, cool shade, ocean breeze
and stunning views. Your brief is to take a photo showing how people live their lives in our
vivacious city. Try to shoot photos of people using shadows and silhouettes, blurs and reflections.
Use your imagination – capture people living in high-rise apartments or depict our daily lives
through creatively capturing lines of washing on balconies.

Brief 1:
Public Transport
Title:
Bendy Bus
Description:
Although Sydney City Council has been active
in setting up bicycle lanes in the city,
the fact remains the buses still dominate the scene...

Brief 2:
City Living
Title:
We were here first
Description:
You may have covered our ground with asphalt,
but it doesn't stop me feeling the earth beneath.

 Brief 3:
Red
Title:
Mondrian
Description:
The colour red dominates in this 'Mondrian' grid in the city.
