Ryan Strobel Pottery

.

Here's a serving bowl I acquired from a young potter Ryan Strobel
(http://www.woodfire.com/ryan). It's woodfired, with a celadon glaze interior and
unglazed exterior, and full of rich details created by clay, fire and wood ash.
Here's what he says about it:

"I mixed up my own clay for this one- a nice and earthy dirty porcelain with feldspar and sand mixed in- it took to
the firing really well..."

"I especially like the way the celadon glaze reacted to the wood ash and streaked blue…"

I've also included a photo of a very nice mug of his that I have.
