Pottery #29 - Kyoto Acquisitions

.

This is going back quite a few years ago. The 'avocado' vessel and the three
legged bud vase were purchased at one of the numerous high quality museum
shops in Kyoto, and the plate, signed at the back simply as 'HIROKA' (usually the
common female version of name spells Hiroko, but unfortunately I failed to make
note of the potter's details, so I don't know anything about him/her), found at the
artist's solo exhibition. I'd love to know, but I don't, how the lines on the platter
were created: it looks like they'd been drawn by hand, and the close-ups show
frequent bubbles in the markings, but what does that indicate, I wouldn't know...

Today's Walk II - Colour Orange

.

Since I took a new route today, I was quite inspired by all the fresh opportunities
for photos. This is the second one after the roadkill post (here) - about objects in
my favourite colour:

Today's Walk - Roadkill

.

On my walk today I came across an unusual number of roadkill (I did take a
different route to my normal ones): two snakes, a possum, and a bird.

Today's Walk - The Bleeds

...

Resin, sap, blood, vampires?

…from Wikipedia: Telyavelic Tremere:

…The Telyavs can sense a mystical emanation from the land called Siela, the part of the spirit that remains bound to the
world after death and also inhabits plant and animal life. The gives the Telyavs rules for a unique Thaumaturgical path
based on combining their vitae (vampiric blood) with the soil, tree sap, and the blood of animals to produce a variety of
effects. In addition, their deliberate closeness the vis-rich soil enables Telyav players to draw upon the metamorphic
aspects of their character's Tzimisce blood.

Today's Walk - The Blues

.

Walking Blues
Robert Johnson, Paul Butterfield

Woke up this morning I looked 'round for my shoes
You know I had those mean old walking blues
Yeah, I woke up this morning I looked 'round for my shoes
Girl, I had those, ooh, mean old walking blues

Some people tell me that worried blues ain't bad
It's the worst old feeling I ever had
People tell me that worried blues ain't bad
It's the worst old feeling, ooh child, I ever had

Looks run to the ocean and the ocean runs to the sea
If I don't find my baby, don't bury me
Look to the ocean and the ocean went to the sea
Yeah, if I don't find my baby, ooh yeah, don't bury me

Minutes seem like hours and hours seem like days
Since my baby started her low down ways, yeah
Minutes seem like hours and hours seem like days
Since my baby, ooh, started her low down ways

I woke up this morning, people, I looked 'round for my shoes
You know I had those mean old walking blues
Yeah, I woke up this morning I looked 'round for my shoes
Yeah, you know I had those, ooh, mean old walking blues
