This is going back quite a few years ago. The 'avocado' vessel and the three
legged bud vase were purchased at one of the numerous high quality museum
shops in Kyoto, and the plate, signed at the back simply as 'HIROKA' (usually the
common female version of name spells Hiroko, but unfortunately I failed to make
note of the potter's details, so I don't know anything about him/her), found at the
artist's solo exhibition. I'd love to know, but I don't, how the lines on the platter
were created: it looks like they'd been drawn by hand, and the close-ups show
frequent bubbles in the markings, but what does that indicate, I wouldn't know...
