This is Marcel Proust's early literary "achievement". À la recherche du temps perdu -

In Search Of Lost Time - was to come later (it was published exactly

a hundred years ago (I'm writing this in November 15 2013)).

Proust was sixteen at the time of this somewhat explicit correspondence.
