I've been going through my numerous books on my hero Alvar Aalto, this time paying
attention to his sketches. Apparently he always had his 6B pencils handy
for making a quick visual note of what ever caught his eye. This post is to get
the project started: the first drawing is a scene from Italy, the next one is to do
with his design for the Finlandia Hall interior in Helsinki, and the last (low quality) image is
a photo of the actualisation of this particular idea.
