.
I did one of my regular walking routes today, down to Newport, and back.
However, today was the first time ever (I wonder why) that I decided to veer off
to this little street going down to the water's edge, one that I hadn't really paid
much attention before. There was actually a tiny marina down there, called Salt
Pan Marina.
By the way, during my walk I was listening to a couple enjoyable Ira Flatow's NPR
Science Friday podcasts that were recently recorded live at the Witte Museum
San Antonio Texas (hello Dana in Fort Worth, sorry to hear about the drought there!). The subjects were:
* Using science to raise the perfect porterhouse, the genetics of the iconic longhorn cattle
* A video of a compost king.
* Shifting to a more renewable energy economy
* Looking at prehistoric rock art.
Well worth checking out, as is the whole podcast (that I listen to regularly)!
